The official page uses inconsistent 19,999/20,000-count wording across sections, while the manual uses 20,000 points. Because the wording is not cleanly aligned, this review does not use a count figure as a selling point.

Where the format may improve an older setup

If an older handheld interface or three separate instruments slow a field visit, one enclosure can reduce packing, cable changes and bench space. That is a workflow benefit, not proof that each function equals a dedicated instrument. The practical test is whether the combined unit supports the exact measurements you perform most often and whether its constraints remain acceptable.

For an upgrade buyer, write down the frustrations first: repeated mode changes, a separate source that stays in the van, poor capture review, or a battery that no longer lasts. Then map each frustration to documented behaviour. That may be acceptable for repetitive bench signals but limiting for intermittent field faults. The maker’s documents identify the depth; they do not demonstrate how acquisition modes, display processing or saved images perform in a specific fault-finding case.

The generator’s published 50kHz maximum and waveform set can support simple audio or control stimulus. Output purity, amplitude accuracy, source impedance under load and simultaneous source/capture behaviour still require exact documentation or measurement before a demanding application.

Safety and grounding are decision gates

The manufacturer manual warns that the two oscilloscope channel ground clips share a common reference and must not be attached to different potentials. It also warns against charging from the device under test while measuring because that can create a damaging ground path. Those are operating constraints, not small-print details.
